THE SECRETS OF ZARA TINDALL'S GLOW-UP: HOW PRINCESS ANNE'S DAUGHTER LOOKS BETTER THAN EVER AT 44

  • Personal stylist Lisa Talbot has traced the evolution of Zara Tindall's style

Posing confidentially in dazzling designer gear, with her blonde hair perfectly curled and a face of red-carpet ready make-up, it would be easy to mistake Zara Tindall for an A-list star in pictures from this week.

Princess Anne's daughter, 44, sported a £530 short, black satin dress with bejewelled buttons, puff sleeves and a flared skirt for a cocktail party hosted by Australian fashion designer Rebecca Vallance on Wednesday - before she quickly scurried across town to support her cousin Prince William at the Tusk Awards.

And while Zara has long stood out amongst the royals for her sartorial choices - combining bright colours and bold shapes - her recent looks have been a step-up in the style stakes.

'When you compare Zara's current style to earlier years, the evolution is striking,' stylist Lisa Talbot told the Daily Mail.

'Her earlier looks leaned towards simple eveningwear - short hemlines, softer structure and more playful shapes.

'There was nothing wrong with these pieces, but they didn't have the same authority or presence that she radiates today.

'Now, her wardrobe choices reflect a woman who knows exactly what suits her.'

Less a radical transformation than a steady culmination, Talbot equally noted that Zara, who's married to former rugby union star Mike Tindall, has lost none of 'the ease and athletic edge that has always been part of her personality.'

'Her recent outfits show a real refinement: thoughtful tailoring, elevated silhouettes, and fabrics that hold shape beautifully,' Talbot explained. 'It's polished, modern, and incredibly flattering.'

Referring specifically to the Narcissa Mini Dress by Rebecca Vallance that the equestrian and Olympic medallist chose for the designer's party, held at Mayfair's Aki London, Talbot noted that Zara has also mastered dressing for her body shape.

'The refined fit-and-flare shapes, strong shoulders and beautifully defined waist creates an instant confidence and presence.

'She's dressing with intention, choosing pieces that lengthen the body, enhance her natural proportions and feel chic without trying too hard.'

Describing the mother-of-three's look as a masterclass in 'grown-up sophistication' that expertly blended 'modernity and classic elegance', the UK-based stylist praised Zara as a 'quietly powerful dresser.'

Indeed, pairing her mini with sheer tights and Emilia Wickstead's £680 Sophia Jewel Buckle shoes - a perfect match thanks to their sparkling embellishments - Zara let her lighthearted and playful character shine through.

Talbot observed a 'noticeable confidence' in the way Zara carried herself as she posed hand-on-hip for photographs.

'Right now, Zara looks like a woman who has found her stride,' Talbot added. 'She's polished, self-assured and completely at ease in her wardrobe.

'It's a brilliant example of a style evolution done well: subtle, sophisticated and still true to who she is. It's not about a reinvention, it's about refinement. And she's absolutely glowing for it.'

The royal's 'glow up', however, extends beyond her fashion choices to take in her face, with specialised skincare and modern make-up techniques contributing to a 'noticeable refinement and sophistication in her overall look,' according to Chelsea's My Skin Ethics' lead doctor Dr Sergey Levin.

Recognising that 'Zara is glowing,' Dr Levin pointed to treatments including microneedling, radiofrequency tightening and light-based therapies, all of which can improve luminosity, firmness and texture.

As such, these treatments 'contribute to a fresher, more vibrant appearance,' Dr Levin said.

'I'd also suggest that she's put the work in with a tailored skincare regimen, with medical grade actives like retinoids and antioxidants, which boost radiance over time,' he added.

However, according to the doctor, Zara has also enhanced her appearance with professional make-up styling.

'She has always been known for favouring a subtle, understated approach to beauty, often leaning toward natural make up and unfussy elegance,' Dr Levin pointed out.

Her enhanced appearance, he suggested, lies in 'contemporary contouring and highlighting, along with more defined eye and brow work'.

The doctor explained that these techniques can accentuate natural features and create a more glamorous aesthetic.

'When someone with that kind of minimalist aesthetic adopts more polished styling or modern make-up techniques, even small changes can appear especially striking.

'This contrast alone can create the impression of a significant "glow up", even when the adjustments are actually very refined.

'All of this can significantly influence perceived facial structure, and pull everything together.'
